Simply Summer

Hello fellow interweb friends!

To follow up on my last blog with my Ipsy July Glam Bag, I thought I'd post up a look I created using some of my most favorite products from the bag and a few of my own everyday favorites! Here's the look guys!
As you know, I love wearing as little to no make-up as possible, so that's pretty much what this look is with a little bit more color to give my face a bright, summer touch! It's perfect for a day at the beach or the pool, maybe even a Disneyland Date with your friends because it is super light weight and protect your skin from the sun. I love this look because it looks so effortless and natural that you can't even tell you put time and energy to do something with your face! The only thing I added was a pop of color onto my lips. I used the Pop Beauty Pouty Crayon in fuchsia flirt because it's the one that came in my Ipsy bag, but you can use any color you'd like.

Check out my video if you want to see what I really did with my face?!?! Hahaha, and of course, check out Ipsy if you'd like to get your own bag of goody-goody gumdrops every month!

Until next time,

Ipsy's July Glam Bag: Beach Beauty

Hello fellow interweb friends!

If you've been watching my vlogs from Vietnam, there was one that I talked about Ipsy and the Glam Bag. I only started subscribing a few months ago, so I've only gotten 2 Glam Bags, and based on the two, I am really enjoying my subscription! Here are pictures of my bags, just so you guys have an idea:
July's Glam Bag: "Beach Beauty"
So the Ipsy subscription is $10.80 a month (including tax) and each month, you receive a brand new make-up bag with 5-7 travel-sized or sample-sized beauty products. Each month is a different them and from what I've gotten, I definitely feel like the products inside the bag is worth a lot more than ten bucks! For instance, this month, one of the products is the Big Healthy Hair Soy Renewal Beach Spray in the travel-size. Like this little bottle at Ulta alone is about twelve bucks! And then some other products that is totally worth more than $10 are the small bottle of Benefit's Benetint and Pop Beauty's Pouty Pop Crayon. I already love the Benetints because I've already used a different version of it, but the one thing that I recently fell in love with is the Pop Beauty's Crayon! It was my first time trying anything from Pop Beauty, and since I'm so in love with the pigmentation, I think I will try out their nail polishes as well because I've seen the polish bottles and they look very pigmented and pretty, so hopefully, the color payoff when putting it on will be just as good! Now that's only a glimpse into what the bag has for July, I can't imagine what other wonderful things I will be getting in the future with my subscription!
June's Glam Bag: "On the Wild Side"
Here's a look into last month's bag! The theme was "On the Wild Side" and the products that I really loved from this bag are: NYX blush (because I love NYX products already), the Chella highlighter in lace, and Cailyn gel-liner (with a brush built-in).

So the cool thing about the subscription is you can unsubscribe whenever you want and resubscribe the next month! As of right now, I don't plan on unsubscribing any time soon since I am super in love with my Ipsy Glam Bags!
Now, go check out Ipsy and subscribe so you can get a little goody bag every month!
Until next time,
Uyen

Airplane Faux-Facial

Hello fellow interweb friends!

As you all may know or have already experience, being on a plane can really irritate your skin. On top of that, being on a plane is not the most comfortable thing, so I thought maybe I'd share with you a little bit of what I do when I'm on the plane!

Based on my previous posts, you already know that I went to Vietnam. The flight there, with layover and all,was about 18-20 hours long, depending on whether or not there are delays. To keep my skin from being dried out and my body from feeling groddy, I brought along some essentials, here's a look into it, so hope you guys enjoy!

Before I do anything to my skin, I have to make sure it is clean first, so I use Simple's facial wipes. The Simple wipes are very easy on the skin, not too much perfume or anything that other wipes have, so I love it. Then, to combat my irritation of dried out skin and lips, my go-to product is the Caudalie Beauty Elixir and my Origins GinZing moisturizer. Even though my skin is naturally oily skin, it still becomes very dried out on the plane, so first, I'd spray my face with the elixir and then apply a little bit of the moisturizer. The elixir gives off a spa-like aroma and the citrusy feel of the moisturizer just makes you feel super relaxed! The Caudalie Beauty Elixir smell may take a little while to adapt to, but once you're used to it, you'll fall in love!

Once I've sprayed the elixir and put some moisturizer on my skin, I smacked on my Dior's Creme de Rose lip balm since my lips are easily dried up. As you all know, I love my Creme de Rose and it smells amazing, so I glooped on a whole bunch and just leave it there as I watch movies or listen to music during the ever so long flight.

Besides the things to keep my face from feeling icky, I also make sure I have some Tylenol with me. I have a lot of issues...my back and brain give me the most problem, so I always need some kind of pain killer. Tylenol is just my preferred medicine just because it's what I had at home, but you can pretty much use anything that you want. It's always nice to carry a little bit of it around with you to make sure you have some medicine when you need it.

That's my little tips and tricks for plane rides,if you have any other ones, please do share!

Until next time,
Uyen

Vietnam Vloggity Vlogs!

Hello fellow interweb friends!

As you are waking up, or already awake, or about to go to bed, thought I'd share with you the newest of my vlogs! This weekend was so amazing that I had to do 2 videos for just Saturday and Sunday, and a very small part of Friday. Hope you enjoy!

Day 14-ish?!?!?! (I lost count of the days) And I'm sorry I kind of made a mistake when editing this one...so it might be a little out of order!

Here's the vlog from Saturday! O my golly gee, it is a long one, but hope you enjoy!

And lastly, here's a glimpse into Sunday! It's a bit shorter, but is still just as fun-packed as Saturdays!

I can't believe that I will be done vlogging soon! I know I didn't exactly vlog everyday, but I hope you enjoyed some of the clips just as much as I did! At some point, I kind of got lost of the days...so that's why some are a little longer than others...hahaha!

Hopefully, I will be able to upload a few more vlogs before I leave Vietnam!
Thanks for watching!

Vietnam Weekend 3: Part 2

Hello fellow interweb friends!

So after a fun-filled day at the I-Resort, my family and I went to Thach Lam Waterland! It's such a beautiful place with greeneries everywhere and there was a nice, cooling river running through it. We got to slide down the grass in a little cart, then went water rafting, and then went on a makeshift water slide into the river. It's a pretty primitive water park, but still, I had a ton of fun!

So that was this past weekend in a nutshell!
Can't believe it's all coming to an end!

Hope you guys enjoyed the trip thus far,
More will be up soon!

Vietnam Weekend 3: Part 1

Hello fellow interweb friends!

I cannot believe I've already been here for 3 weeks! This means I will be leaving in about 10 days!!! Even though I am looking forward to go home to my friends and family in the states, I will definitely miss my family in Vietnam very much. The leaving part is always so hard just because we've gotten so close and spent so much time with each other. My cousins and I may have not seen each other in four years, but it felt like no time's passed and we still have so much fun with each other, even though they all have their own families and babies to take care of. This weekend was definitely one for the books! We spent an entire day hot-spring and mud bathing and then another day going into the mountains to go river rafting and then playing with a nature-made slip-and-slide. The past two days were filled with so many good memories, so much laughter, and ton of love.

Here are just a few pictures from Saturday at the I-Resort Hot Springs and Mud Bath!

I apologize for my flabbiness!

Keep an eye out for the next blog,
More pictures to come soon!

Vietnam Motherland: I-Resort

Hello fellow interweb friends!

Last weekend, my cousins took my brother and I to a neat little bathing place called I-Resort. It has mud baths and hot spring bathes and waterfall massages and all kinds of goody-goody gumdrops provided by nature! We, sadly, did not do the mud bath, but we had so much fun in the hot springs and waterfall things! It was so nice and relaxing there that my cousins and I didn't want to leave! We were chillin in the hot pool, and at some point, I think I may have taken a little cat nap...hahaha, but anyways, here are a few pictures from that day! My entire family will be going there again this weekend, which means I get to show you more stuff next time!

Chillin'

The "waiting" area.

View from my little sun bed that had an amazing cushion.

O, just the girls!

Don't mind the bad angle!

My cousin and I got kind of hungry...

They told me to fertilize the plants!

Just relaxing, waiting for the guys to get the bikes ready.

I swear, I didn't pee in my pants guys! Hahaha!
I cannot wait to go back this weekend! I will hopefully, be able to post the vlog from this day up today, so you guys can see the live version of the I-Resort and the weird things that I did.

That's all for now,
See you soon,
Uyen

Vietnam Motherland: Catch Up #2

Hello fellow interweb friends!

Sorry I've lagged the last couple of days! The internet has been down at home, and I didn't feel like lugging my laptop around to the various coffee shops around here to post, but it's all good in the hood now! We found a way to use the neighbor's wifi, which is much faster than the one at home, which means I cannot be lagging anymore! Hahaha, unfortunately, I will only be in Nha Trang for about another week, and in Vietnam for a little over 10 days! Wowzers, cannot believe a month is about to go by so fast! But here are some pictures! My family got the hooker-uppers to stay at the Louisiane Brewhouse and got to enjoy the bestest view in the world, hope you guys enjoy!

(NO CAPTION NEEDED!)

Us girls can hang!

She's my cousin-in-law, but it doesn't feel that way at all! I'm closer to her than her husband who's my actual cousin...hahaha

This little man is the cutest runner in the world!

This is during the day time!

Hahaha double fisting everywhere I go! Even my cousins think I'm quite the drinker!

You know what happens after I get a few drinks in me?!?!?

Here is the majority of the family!
So here are only a few pictures from that day! We went back there again for drinks the night of the 4th, which I will share with you at another time! This weekend is going to be super fun because we are going to go hot spring bathing/mud bathing again! I think I will post up some pictures from the first time we went in the next blog, so keep an eye out for that! Gosh guys, I am having way too much fun, so it's kind of bittersweet to think I will be going home soon!

That's all for now,
Gotta go eat!

Hello fellow interweb friends!

I am sharing with you these pictures in its raw, unedited/filtered form just because it is just  beautiful the way it is!

All these pictures will were taken at the top story of the Sheraton Hotel here. We went for happy hour and I got to enjoy 2 delicious mango daquiris!!! Hahaha and it was super cheap cause their happy hour promo is buy one get one free! Speaking of which, my entire family will be going out there again in a little bit and enjoy ourselves a few dranky-dranks hahaha some goody-goody gumdrops, if ya'll know what I mean?!?!

And here's the most up-to-date vlog! I am uploading another one as I publish this blog, so I hope it will be up by tonight so you guys can see the vlog that was taken the same day as these pictures!
